The Monastery was founded by the Khenpo to propagate the Buddha Dharma in the remote place with the blessings of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche. With the establishment of the Monastery, 30 children joined as a monkhood with the ordinance.
Today, the Monastery has 39 monks with 3 venerable Khenpo Sangay Jamtsho, Khenpo Pema Norbu and Khenpo Tsheltrim Yoesung.
The Monastery serve as an Buddhist center for learning for monks and serves local communities in performing rituals and death rituals.
