A hidden sacred site of stone cut popularly known as Lungkhangma Ney (Sharchokpa Language) under Nganglam Drungkhag, Choekhorling is said to have blessed by Guru Rinpoche in 8th century.
This sacred place was left hidden untill the arrival of Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche in 26th September, 2010. Although, the very sacred ney was known only for locality but at the most left unheard coz of remoteness of the place.
According to the 69 years old Chana Dorji of Yargay woong , this sacred place is said be an abode of Gura Padmasambhava which we can we see the full face of Padmasambhava in the form of rock inside cave.
Inside, it is believe to have lake where most of the people experienced sound of the lake by throwing small things. Most of the legend says, this particular ney is an equivalent of Riwo Malaya and has a blessings of that ney.
To our observation too, we are able to see the physical representation alike mount of Riwo Malaya surrounded by the Sacred door at west direction, Rock Stupa facing south and the foot print, Zhugthri and rocky knot of Guru Rinpoche in the north east direction.
In the beginning of the year 2023, khenpo Norbu Gyeltshen from Dewathang Shedra volunteer to initiate the project to put walking rally in and around the ney. I was surprised by the site development and now everyone can make easy access to make a round for self libiration.
